Ingredients

  • cups milk of choice (I use oat, almond or soy milk)
  • 2 teaspoon rose water
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2-3 teaspoon maple syrup (depending on preference)

Optional

  • ¼ teaspoon beet powder (for pink colour)

Instructions

  • Add all ingredients to a blender. Blend on high power 10-15 seconds until fully combined. (If you don't have a blender, whisk all ingredients together in a medium bowl.)
  • Pour into small saucepan and warm over gentle heat.
  • Pour into mug (if you want to add coffee to your latte, pour a shot of espresso in first). Optionally decorate with rose petals.

For iced latte

  • Blend all ingredients as above, then pour drink immediately over a glass of ice. Optionally decorate with rose petals.

Notes

Milk frother method - Reserve and set aside ½ cup milk before blending remaining milk and other ingredients. While latte is warming, froth ½ cup of milk until foamy. Pour warmed latte into mug then pour over frothed milk.
Milk - Any milk works (I like dairy-free), but if using a milk frother I recommend store-bought oat or soy as they foam better than others.
Maple Syrup - Feel free to use other sweeteners if you don't have maple (agave, coconut nectar, stevia etc.).
