Equipment

  • Blender
  • milk frother (optional - see milk frother method in notes)

Ingredients

  • cups milk of choice (I use oat, almond or soy milk)
  • 3 teaspoon rose water
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2-3 teaspoon maple syrup (depending on preference)
  • Pinch of salt

Optional

  • ¼ teaspoon beet powder (for pink colour)

Instructions

  • Add all ingredients to a blender. Blend on high power until fully combined (about 10-15 seconds).
  • Pour into small saucepan and warm over gentle heat.
  • Pour into mug (if you want to add coffee to your latte, pour a shot of espresso in first).
  • Optionally decorate with rose petals, beet powder or chopped pistachios.

Notes

Milk frother method - Reserve and set aside ½ cup milk before blending other ingredients. While latte is warming, froth remaining ½ cup of milk in frother (or using a hand frother) until foamy. Pour warmed latte into a mug and pour over frothed milk. Decorate as desired.
Iced rose latte method - After blending all ingredients, pour latte mixture over ice cubes instead of heating.
Milk - Any milk works (I like dairy-free), but if using a milk frother I recommend store-bought oat or soy as they foam up better than others.
Vanilla Extract - You could also use raw vanilla powder if you have it.
Maple Syrup - Feel free to use other sweeteners if you don't have maple (agave, coconut nectar, stevia etc.).
