Learn how to make this quick homemade sauerkraut.  It uses just 3 ingredients and is great for gut health.  Never buy this fermented side dish again!

1) Slice cabbage thinly.

2) Place in mason jar, pressing down to fit as much in as possible (if using garlic, add this first).

3) Dissolve salt in water to create brine, and pour over cabbage, up to top of jar.

4) Fit one large piece of cabbage over the rest, just below mouth of jar.

5) Place paper towel over mouth of jar, securing with string or rubber band.

6) eave to ferment on countertop 4-6 days until fermented to taste!
