This red lentil soup with carrots needs just 10 ingredients and less than 30 minutes. Naturally vegan/vegetarian and perfect for easy weeknight dinners.

Sauté onion and garlic with olive oil in a pan for 5 minutes.

Add carrot, chili powder, paprika, turmeric, cumin and pepper and saute 2 mins more.

Add lentils, vegetable broth and milk to pan.

Simmer 12-14 mins.

Blend on high power for 20 seconds.

Add salt if needed and serve in large bowls garnished with chili flakes, cilantro and yoghurt.
